We as a society have heard so many things when it pertains to money. From "The love of money is the root of all evil" to " Cash rules everything around me." Truth be told many of us learn everything we know about money through the hard lessons of life and unfortunately by the time we have learned real useful information, more time than not we are already in harms way. From the Government fighting on raising the debt ceiling to having enough money to buy food. Money influences all walks of our lives. So if that is the case why don't we spend more time understanding and learning about money and how it works. The fact of the matter is that a lot people don't get a semi-firm grip on money until their mid to late forties and some never obtain a solid financial understanding. My name is Sylvester (Sly) Fleming and I served as a licensed financial advisor for over a decade. It would sadden me that average individual was normally left out of the equation when it came to the educating and the understanding of money. The larger travesty was that if the parents did not know they where unable to teach it to there children which only continued the cycle of financial darkness when it came to understanding and growing wealth. We wanted to create a series of books that would give you more then just the technical understanding of finances and a book of formulas. We wanted to create a series that would give you a fighting chance in obtaining knowledge and wealth for your family and generations to come. This series entitled "Dad, How Does Money Works?" is written for the beginner or novice in finance. I will help you understand concepts and begin to build a working knowledge of money. This is not to be used in place of proper financial advice. If one does not understand finance he or she is at a disadvantage in all areas of finance, even when looking for a financial advice. Biblically it is quoted that my people parish for the lack of knowledge but it never said knowledge was not available. This book is the first book of the series and it concentrates on the differences between being rich or being wealthy, and the difference from being poor and living in poverty. A better understanding of money. This book also touches on interest between simple and compound. Let this book and the rest of this series help you get on your way to a better financial understanding and then the building of your own personal empire of knowledge and reference books. So that the next generation will be grateful for your legacy.
